If you are seeking handmade gifts that cannot be AI generated or mass produced, or maybe you are looking for something your friend, boss, co-worker, or relative doesn't already have, or maybe you want ideas about how you yourself can use your jar of pennies - you've come to the right place!  I'll be selling small items like magnets, bookmarks, pendants, and boxes at Thomas College on Saturday, September 27, 2025, from 9-4, The Waterville Elks Lodge on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 9-2, and Waterville High School on Saturday, December 13, 2025, from 9-2:30.  The items at these sales generally range in price from $5 to $20. The Portfolio page has examples of several larger works completed.  The Custom Requests page has a form for submitting projects you'd like to have custom made.  I can also be reached by email at amy.sell@mintmosaics.com.

"But why would you do this?", you might ask.  Well, I guess it's partly because it's kind of cool and illegal seeming, and a great way to get out aggression (all pieces are hand cut). But at the same time it's a statement about a world full of broken people of seemingly little to no economic value, and whose very presence seems illegal for some reason. If these pictures were made of perfect coins, they would be nothing but hungry caterpillars and snowmen.  As a former Goodwill store manager, and even in my current role in accounting, I've worked with a lot of broken coins, and I'm one of them myself.  Like this art, I think the world is much better for it.  But also, it's just kind of cool and unique, and definitely not a mass production.  I'd also encourage others to try this, as well.  It's a challenging alternative creative pursuit, and with coins (especially pennies) being readily available art supplies, the barrier to entry is low.
